Apache Prime Valentine’s Day Special
Sunday, Feb. 14 • 4 PM–9 PM
Each year the San Carlos Apache Tribe and San Carlos Apache Gaming Enterprise (SCAGE) set aside what is commonly known as 12D funding, and distribute it to surrounding cities, towns and/or county nonprofit organizations through a stringent selection process.

In years past, applications would be submitted and three recipients selected. But, like so many other local businesses and nonprofit organizations, SCAGE had unique challenges in 2020. However, they stayed committed and awarded $17,499.50 to the Town of Kearny.
The partnership with the Town of Kearny dates back many years. So it only seemed fitting to reach out with some financial assistance to the town’s ambulance service, especially with the current health crisis. The Town of Kearny Ambulance Service covers an area of 600 square miles, including Apache Sky Casino and the surrounding communities of Dudleyville, Winkelman and Hayden.
“Thank you so much to our friends at San Carlos Apache Tribe, and the Apache Gold and Sky Casinos, for their generous donation to the Town of Kearny’s Ambulance Service,” said Kearny Mayor Jamie Ramsey. “It is a blessing during this very difficult time. My heart is filled with gratitude.”
SCAGE Chief Executive Officer Matt Olin said, “The ambulance service in this area is vital to the health and safety of all community members and visitors. We are strong supporters of the Kearny Ambulance Service and the outstanding work they do. They also provide much appreciated rapid service to Apache Sky when needed. We remain committed to supporting this service every year.”
About Apache Gold Casino & Resort
Apache Gold Casino Resort is owned by the San Carlos Apache Tribe. This tribal land covers over 1.8 million acres in eastern Arizona, from the Sonoran Desert to Ponderosa pine forests. The Tribe’s ancestral lands once stretched across Arizona into New Mexico. Historically, the San Carlos Apache were hunters and they have deep cultural and spiritual ties to the land. The tribe has made the decision to keep most of its land in a natural state, which protects the habitat for big and small game, and allows the Apache to preserve their special and personal relationship with the natural world.
About the Town of Kearny
Kearny, located in eastern Pinal County, is one of the county’s most unique towns. The town is a planned community, with most streets elegantly lined with trees, and many houses have similar, yet inviting and unique, construction. Properties are available for immediate occupation.

Kearny is equidistant to Phoenix and Tucson, approximately 1 1/2 hours away. However, the Phoenix Metro area is easily accessed with a short hour drive. Kearny is also 30 minutes away from Globe, southern Gila County’s largest city.

Along with the friendly ambiance, Kearny is nestled at the base of the Pinal Mountain Range. The location provides prime opportunities for some of the best outdoor recreation in the state. Kearny has even developed an ATV, hiking, horseback and picnic trail to help facilitate safe outdoor recreation, also known as “eco-tourism.”
